Hi Cato. While I personally haven’t worked on any Scrum projects that employed off-shore labor, I’m sure it happens frequently among enterprise-level corporations. Scrum’s emphasis on collocation is, in many ways, antithetical to the realities of the modern business world. If organizations can’t change those realities (such as offshoring), they can at least change how they work. Thus, we’ve seen a rise in Scrum- and agile-focused management tools that seek to deliver small team Scrum’s benefits to those teams that aren’t collocated. I’m sorry I can’t provide you with specific examples, but I’m very curious to hear more about your thesis…

Hi.

In regards to a master thesis I'm working on I was wondering if you know any or have self been involved in Scrum projects were offshoring have been used.

If so I would like to talk to you (or those you know) about the experience made during those kind of projects.

Kind regards,
Cato Haukeland
